If you purchased a Super Pro USB or Super Pro AMP USB between 2020 and 2024, your unit has USB sound-loading capability but shipped with Bird Gard’s pre-IntelliGard sound profile system. The IntelliGard OS USB Upgrade Kit lets you upgrade your existing hardware to our anti-habituation operating system without replacing the unit — just swap the included USB stick into your control unit.
What IntelliGard OS adds
- Randomized playback — strategic time-off intervals prevent birds from recognizing patterns and habituating
- 250+ species-specific sound profiles — Bird Gard’s largest library, developed in collaboration with global researchers
- Enhanced call lengths — substantially more content than the pre-IntelliGard system
- Anti-habituation algorithms — keeps the soundscape unpredictable season after season, preserving deterrent effectiveness over time

Who this is NOT for
- Pre-2020 (legacy) Super Pro or Super Pro AMP units. These do not have USB hardware. To upgrade a legacy unit to IntelliGard OS, please call us at 541.549.0205 about a control board replacement — board replacements are not sold online.
- Sonic Hawk 100 or Sonic Hawk 500. These new units already ship with IntelliGard OS standard. No upgrade is needed.
Installation
No tools required. Open your control unit, remove the existing USB stick, insert the new IntelliGard OS USB stick, close the unit, and resume operation. Full installation instructions are included with your kit.
